How does Kinesiology work?

Kinesiology uses muscle testing (biofeedback) to communicate with your subconscious mind and identify the underlying causes of any stress you may be holding.  The stress may be physical, mental, emotional, biochemical or energetic.

Our muscles work as indicators of stress, as muscles feed into the central nervous system and the subconscious mind. When stress is identified and pressure is applied to an indicator muscle, the muscle will become weak, called switching.  Kinesiology incorporates ‘Traditional Chinese Medicine’ where each muscle is related to a meridian and organ.  This aids us in locating where in the body the stress is being held.

Throughout life our body keeps a record of every thought, emotion, pain or stress it has had to deal with, and through taping into the subconscious mind we are able to access and clear this memory.

Kinesiology allows us to pinpoint the underlying causes of an illness or issue, which when cleared will then allow the body to heal.  Recommendations may be given regarding lifestyle, nutrition, environment, emotional and behavioral patterns that need to be addressed.  Kinesiology works holistically to address imbalances and rebalance the body towards optimal health and wellbeing.

What to expect from a Kinesiology Session?

When you arrive at Sante for your initial consultation, we will do an intake assessment and talk through your current circumstances to determine what you would like to achieve from the session.

We will then ask you to remove your shoes (there is no need to remove any other clothing) and invite you to sit or lie on the treatment table.

We will do some noninvasive prechecks to assess hydration, brain switching, ionization etc., with the use of an indicator muscle on the arm.  The indicator muscle feeds into the sub-conscious and will guide us through the session showing what your body needs to bring it back into balance.

Where there are multiple issues you would like to address, your body will take us to the priority stress that needs to be balanced in the first instance.

To balance the stress we will use the corrections that your body selects, some examples of these are holding acupressure points or emotional stress release points, lymphatic massage, meridian therapy, hypertonic muscle release and sound healing, among others. Your body is the guide!

How many sessions will I need?

Everybody is different and every body holds different levels of stress in a multitude of different ways.  The number of sessions required to help remove blocks and bring the body back into balance varies, depending on the level of stress and the range of stressors identified.  Usually, we would estimate an average of 3-5 sessions, however Kinesiology also works as a preventor of stress accumulating in the body, so regular “tune -up’s” can be highly beneficial.
